Myofascial Release using the John F Barnes' Approach

Includes human and equine

When we/our horses experience physical trauma, scarring, inflammation, repetitive stress/posture injuries, the fascia loses its pliability.

Fascia is a specialized system of the body with a web-like appearance which connects from head to foot/hoof without interruption. It covers and infuses every muscle fiber, bone, nerve, artery, vein, and internal organ, down to the cellular level.

Over time, restrictions become problematic to the other systems of the body, exerting excessive pressure on pain-sensitive structures, causing pain and limited movement.

Adding Myofascial Release to your current fitness/health practice will; result in lasting changes to connective tissue length, to eliminate pain and restore flexibility.

The Masterson Method™

Many of these techniques will yield visible and immediate improvements.

This interactive method was developed to improve performance in equine athletes competing in high-demand environments. The Masterson Method™ releases accumulated tension in key junctions of the horse’s body that most affect performance.

Equine Sports Massage

Focused on the cause of muscle injury, the intent of sports massage therapy as taught by the school of Equissage®, is to relieve pain, locate and treat spasms/restrictions, and prevent future injury.

Pre-event massage loosens, warms and prepares muscles for the upcoming event, and post-event massage helps muscles return to their natural state, quickly and efficiently.

As stress, anxiety, and pain subside, well-being can be felt. Reiki; an ancient restorative art form, holistic in nature, helps restore balance to the body's energy system
